Start date:           As soon as possible

Location:             Isaac Newton Academy, 1 Cricklefield Pl, Ilford IG1 1FY

Hours:                 36 hours a week, 52 weeks per annum;

Salary:                 Ark Support Scale Band 6 (£27,665-£32,828)

Isaac Newton Academy is a non-denominational, non-selective school, welcoming students of all backgrounds from the local community. We opened in 2012 with our inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students. Our school won Secondary School of the Year in the 2018 Shine a Light Awards for its commitment to developing students’ communication skills and was shortlisted for Secondary School of the Year in the 2018 TES Awards. Our Music Department were recently shortlisted for Excellence in Creative Arts at the TES School Awards 2023.

 

 

The opportunity

 

We are now seeking a PA to the Principal to join our team of staff. The successful candidate will be the front-facing representative of Isaac Newton Academy, dealing with visitors, students, staff and other stakeholder groups and will provide an excellent level of customer service. They will be responsible for upholding the vision and ethos of the Academy at all times.

 

The successful candidate’s role will be to represent the Principal to a range of audiences and will be responsible for ensuring that routines, systems and procedures are in place to support the principal effectively in carrying out all aspects of my work to the highest possible standards.

The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of liaising with students, staff members and external stakeholders
  • have PA experience in a busy office environment, experience within a school environment is desirable but not essential.  
  • possess excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • be committed to Ark’s ethos of high expectations.
  • be passionate about working in a school and with young people

In this role you will:

  • play a key role in the evolution of Isaac Newton Academy
  • join the Ark Schools network, with comprehensive career and professional development provisions
