Parent Support worker job summary
In this role you'll act as a key link between home and school, working alongside parents, carers, and families to support pupil wellbeing, attendance and engagement with learning. You will need to develop positive relationships with families, providing advice, guidance, and practical support to overcome barriers to learning and participation in school life. A key part of the role will be to support families with attendance issues, providing guidance on routines, punctuality and managing absences. This includes liaising with staff, external agencies and communicating well with parents, carers and pupils to provide early support and interventions.
Supporting the safeguarding and welfare of pupils by identifying concerns, following school procedures, attending relevant meetings and carrying out home visits will also form part of this role.
You will need to be:
* well organised and able to maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided and outcomes achieved
* enthusiastic and dedicated
* articulate and diplomatic but clear and firm in the way you support
* work well in a team and on your own initiative
*have a good sense of humour!

Hours are as follows:
8.15am - 4pm Monday - Thursday & 8.15am - 3.45pm Friday
