Part-time Art Instructor - The Key Education Centre Havant (PO9 4AJ) job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative instructor to deliver our curriculum offer in Art on our Havant site. The Key has always had a strong and diverse Art curriculum, and we currently work closely with Horizon 20:20’s ‘ambitious arts-intervention programme’; we are looking to maintain the momentum gained over the last two years and develop it further with new ideas.
Successful applicants will be expected to design and deliver learning sequences which reflect our high aspirations of pupils and promote positive engagement with learning. Applicants will show a confident understanding of the national curriculum but also a capacity to teach around this to broaden the cultural capital of our pupils and engage them in a wide range of topics. Applicants will also demonstrate a confident ability to form positive working relationships with young people and will be able to respond effectively to the needs of their pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated, creative and ambitious colleague who is passionate about their subject area and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
If you are strong-minded, emotionally resilient and determined to offer a high-quality curriculum, join us in the privilege we enjoy of working with very small groups of pupils, trying to change lives.
Applicants who have achieved QTS are not eligible for this position as it is an unqualified post.
