JOB OVERVIEW

At Chipstead Valley Primary School, we are looking for a passionate class teacher to deliver high quality teaching in our KS2 department, while successfully nurturing and inspiring our pupils. The successful candidate will also have the ambition to develop their own teaching skills, as well as innovate and drive standards forward within their class. As part of our energetic and welcoming team, this person will demonstrate commitment to school improvement and further developing the opportunities for our children, whilst maintaining a healthy and happy learning environment for all.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status
• NQT's are most welcome to apply

• A detailed knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and its means of delivery
• High standards of communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, positive, calm and flexible work ethic
• Experience innovating to deliver the curriculum

• The ability to work towards deadlines
• The ability to motivate both students and your peers

Chipstead Valley is a 3-form entry primary school located on the border of Croydon and Surrey. We are fortunate enough to be based in superb grounds with ever-evolving facilities, both inside and out. These include a swimming pool, mini-gym, cycle track, outdoor classroom, reading garden, immersive learning suite, woodland, conservation and orchard areas and an award winning, extensive growing area, which is cultivated by both staff and children. Our school also prides itself on outdoor learning and global learning opportunities; core threads running through all aspects of our curriculum. As well as the main school, we have a large Nursery and an ‘Enhanced Learning’ provision for children with physical disabilities.
