What skills and experience we're looking for

Race Leys Infant School is seeking to appoint an experienced highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our teaching team. We are looking for someone with experience who is committed to high standards and who has high expectations for both attainment and achievement. This is a part time (0.4 FTE), permanent teaching position to job share a class within school in Early Years. This is an exciting time to join the Race Leys Infant School family who are on their journey to improving learning opportunities and provision for the children. Our school community deserves the absolute best and our new Co-Headteachers and staff have been on a rapid school improvement journey. We are looking for an experienced teacher join our team to help all of our learners thrive. The successful candidate will:

  • • Have a creative approach to teaching and learning that will inspire, challenge and motivate all learners to reach high levels of achievement.
  • Is, or has the potential and motivation to become, an outstanding practitioner.
  • Can offer proven good or outstanding practice in teaching and learning in the Foundation Stage or KS1.
  • Has high expectations of children’s behaviour.
  • Is willing to contribute positively to the life of the school and its community.
  • Is cheerful, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Embraces change and innovation positively.
  • Has excellent communication and organisation skills.
