Part -time Cleaners job summary
We have a vacancies for 4 cleaners to work at The Fusion Academy, a school for children and young people aged 7-19 with communication and interaction needs and/or autism. These are 41 weeks per year contracts. To start: 3rd Febraury 2025 but earlier start dates may be available.
Salary: Grade 2 £23,848.00 pro rata.
Actual salary £7,138.52
The hours of work will be 12.5 per week, working mornings 6:00 am - 8:30 am.
41 weeks per year equates to term time plus 15 shifts at agreed times during the school holidays.

Duties will include the use of electrical and mechanical equipment, floor polishers etc for which you will receive training. Ideally, although not essential, you will have knowledge of COSHH Regulations. You will undertake Health & Safety training to ensure that you are aware of your responsibilities for the Health and Safety of others as well as yourself when carrying out your duties.

The Fusion Academy is for young people with autism and/ or communication and interaction needs who do not have a learning disability.
To come to The Fusion Academy, students must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that states communication and interaction and/ or autism as their primary area of need.
The Fusion Academy is not set up for young people with cognition and learning needs. It is designed for young people who, despite their difficulties around communication and interaction, have the potential to learn at an age appropriate level and will be looking to access qualifications and potential employment in the future.
