A vacancy has arisen for the part-time post of Music teacher at Harry Gosling Primary School in Tower Hamlets.
We are looking for an excellent musician who wants to make a difference in our school by inspiring our pupils, families and staff.

Run additional music clubs and liaise with peripatetic staff to deliver high quality musical provision
Job description
This post will require you to teach and co-ordinate music throughout the school from nursery to Year 6.
Provide inspiration for all staff so that pupils at Harry Gosling receive a creative and stimulating music curriculum which encourages the participation of all, allows full enjoyment of all aspects of music and enables children to reach high standards.
Main responsibilities:
To take responsibility for the music curriculum in order to ensure continuity, progression and development across the whole school.
To ensure all pupils make good progress.
To monitor pupils’ progress in your curriculum area to ensure that attainment targets are met
To oversee the delivery of your curriculum area throughout the school (planning, assessment and record keeping) and ensure coverage, continuity and progression.
To provide a model of good practice that will support the continual professional development of other teaching and non-teaching staff.
To improve the quality of teaching in your curriculum area by participating in further training opportunities, liaising with outside agencies and other schools and remaining up-to-date with developments and initiatives thereby enabling the school to meet its performance targets.
To ensure that the schools School Development Plan targets are achieved.
To involve parents and carers of pupils in your curriculum area development in order to raise pupil attainment.
To inform the school governors about the development of your curriculum area and encourage their involvement so that they can effectively evaluate progress against the SDP.
