Required from January 2020, a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Science to teach Chemistry part-time (0.4) in this lively and high achieving girls’ selective school. The timetable covers Thursday and Friday and is focused on KS3 & 4. It is anticipated that the maternity cover will be needed for two school terms. Applications from NQTs and from experienced teachers are equally welcome.
Chemistry is taught throughout the school. Students take Triple Science at GCSE and the majority go on to study A-Level sciences. We promote STEM opportunities for girls and would expect the colleague appointed to work actively towards this aim.
The school, described by OFSTED as ‘outstanding’ (March 2009), and identified by the Sunday Times as “London State Secondary School of the Year (2019)” encourages a wide range of extra-curricular activities. It provides a friendly working environment and offers established programmes of teacher induction and CPD.
