What skills and experience we're looking for
This post becomes available from September 2024, due to the retirement of one of the team. With French, German and Spanish taught at Parkstone from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, we offer linguistic diversity and excellence for an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher. The staff in these departments work collegiately and are pro-actively involved in teaching and learning developments with a particular focus on the EPI approach to language learning. From September 2024 all three languages will start teaching the new MFL GCSEs and are in the process of reviewing their teaching of younger year groups to provide a comprehensive and progressive curriculum. The position offers excellent prospects for a committed candidate to work in a highly effective and very successful area of the School.
The successful candidate should be able to teach either French or Spanish to at least GCSE Level. They should be someone who can continue to inspire, enthuse and bring out the best in all our students.
All teachers are expected to act as form tutors, assist with extra-curricular activities and the teaching of associated subjects.
