Oakley School is a brand-new all through school on the edge of South Leamington in Warwickshire. We welcomed our first Year 7 cohort in September 2023 and are continuing to grow each year. We are committed to ensuring that we have a fantastic team of staff who share in a vision of educational excellence for the children, families and wider school community that we serve.
Oakley School provides a unique, once-in-a-career opportunity to join a brand-new school and contribute to its journey towards excellence.
We are part of Stowe Valley MAT, which is led by Southam College. This has further enhanced our ability to offer inspirational and supportive leadership and CPD for all of our staff.
If you are:
· passionate about your subject and delivering a curriculum that enables pupils to achieve excellent outcomes
· keen to teach motivated and enthusiastic students
· really want to make a difference to the lives of young people,
then this might be just the job for you! If you have a passion for learning and teaching and really want to make a difference to the lives of young people, we would encourage you to join us at our caring and friendly school.
The Music Department is well resourced with a full mac-mini suite, full class sets of ukuleles, djembes, keyboards, samba kit, and a variety of percussion and other instruments. In addition to the main teaching space, there are 3 well-equipped practice rooms. Music classes are taught in smaller group sizes of approximately 20 pupils, leading to better engagement, learning, and musical outcomes. Many pupils take part in peripatetic lessons, and we have a thriving school orchestra, choir, and musical culture. We work closely with Warwickshire Music, Leamington Music, and other providers, to offer a variety of extra-curricular musical opportunities for our pupils. Whilst this is a part time teacher of music role, there may be an opportunity for the right candidate to work in addition to this if they are able to deliver teaching in a second subject area.
Please contact us if you would like an informal chat with our Head of Music, Robert Thompson.
All applications are via our online platform and can be found on the Vacancies section of the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust website www.stowevalleymat.com.
Please note that strong applications may be considered upon receipt.
