About this Role
Part Time Teaching Assistant Grade 3, point 6-9 (£16,575-17,417 actual gross per annum) - 27.5 hours per week – 39 weeks per year including five inset days (08:30am-12 noon, 1:30pm -3:30pm). Monday-Friday Term Time only plus 5 Inset Days
MSA role 5 hours per week 1 hour (12noon-1pm) per day – 38 weeks per year
Grade 2, point 3-6 (£2545-2588 gross per annum)
Leadingham Primary Academy are currently seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic part time Level 1 Teaching Assistant with the additional role of a Midday Meal supervisor.
We are looking for someone who:
Is dedicated, caring, enthusiastic and creative
Has excellent communication and team working skills
Is able to promote social and personal development
Is confident in supporting phonics
Is able to foster excellent working relationships with the children they are working with
Is committed to developing their own skills
Is committed to delivering high quality support and intervention work
Is able to prepare and adapt resources and teaching materials
Has good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent) and NVQ 2 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistant Qualification.
Additional MSA duties include:
Supervising children during the meal, in the playground, classrooms, corridors, cloakrooms, toilets, etc
To assist in preparing the hall for dining, including setting out tables and chairs, as appropriate
Distribute meals and serve water where required
Clear tables and collect rubbish, wash and stack away tables, chairs and cleaning dining area as required
Actively promote our school behaviour policy and manage behaviour accordingly
Deal with incidents of first aid, complete records and reporting as per our school policy
