The trust on behalf of Elms Bank School and College, are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated General Subjects Teacher/Instructor on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will join a team of exceptional professionals working with pupils whose barriers to learning can include physical difficulties, social communication difficulties, Autism, speech, and language difficulties. Pupils are best supported to achieve their potential through a creative teaching style, which enables them to engage in and explore the curriculum. You will be part of an exceptional team and will be provided with extensive support to ensure that you develop to your full potential both in this role and beyond.
This post is particularly suitable for a teacher/instructor who has experience of teaching and working with pupils who are working significantly below age related expectation. Teachers would be expected to demonstrate that they are competent in using a range of strategies to teach and to engage and develop pupils’ understanding to ensure that they reach their full potential.
Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs in a mainstream or a SEND setting is essential. We are looking for an outstanding teacher who will demonstrate a high level of commitment to our students.
