Pastoral and Learning Support Assistant (In class and outside) job summary

Your interaction with these students could make a difference to their chances in education and life!
We are looking to recruit Pastoral and Learning Support workers to support students both within and outside the classroom, either within a teaching group or on a 1:1 basis.
It is extremely helpful for you if you have experience of working with young people with SEMH and associated complex learning difficulties and includes challenging behaviour but this is not essential - your relationship building ability is!
Our staff team comprises of a variety of backgrounds from Psychology graduates, Youth Workers, and even parents from other schools with first hand understanding of challenging behaviour from young people.

Grafham Grange School is a special school set in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham. Our school offers education and care for up to 52 students, referred from local authorities across the South of England from the age of 10 to 16 (Year 6 to Year 11).
All our students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) as their primary identified need, though the majority of students have additional special educational needs such as autistic spectrum conditions; speech, language and communication difficulties; ADHD; opposition defiance; medical conditions and attachment disorders.
