What skills and experience we're looking for
We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate, committed and experienced Pastoral, Behaviour & Welfare Officer to join our team at Beacon of Light Schooland be responsible for supporting the Behaviour & Welfare Lead in the strategic development of behaviour across the Academy, ensuring all students have the opportunity to access their personalised curriculum by addressing and removing barriers to learning which are linked to behaviour.
The Pastoral, Behaviour and Welfare Office will provide high quality support to students on a one-to-one basis, both through contact with students and through liaising with the services and support of others as identified by the Behaviour & Welfare Lead.
This key individual will oversee a safe and secure working environment for students who have been placed in the Reset room, as directed by Behaviour & Welfare Lead. You will work directly with students, responding efficiently to situations that may arise on a daily basis.
If you have knowledge and experience of working within educational, behaviour and welfare environment and experience working with SEMH / SEN then this could be the role for you.
