Pastoral Care Officer (2 posts) - 35 hours per week, term time job summary

We warmly welcome applications from emotionally attuned individuals that can provide the best possible pastoral care and support for all of our students. There are two opportunities, one with a focus on students in Key Stage 3 and those transitioning from primary school, and the other focusing on students in Key Stage 4 and their preparations for examinations, future learning and employment. Please read carefully the "Essential skills and experience" below.
The Academy is very well resourced through our commitment to provide outstanding opportunities for learning, including subject expert teachers, well-appointed classrooms, extensive sports facilities and wide access to IT.
We expect the very best from our students and in return we provide the very best educational opportunities and pastoral care. We are working in partnership with HeadStart to trial the Trauma Informed Schools approach and working in partnership with the NHS to develop integrated health and education centres on school sites; this means our students are fortunate to have access to a range of support services delivered by our staff and specialist external agencies within a brand new dedicated Integrated Health Centre on site. The new Pastoral Care Officers will play a key role in delivering our excellent provision as well as the opportunity to engage in these partnerships.
Salary: £14,673 (after adjustment for 38 working weeks and 35 hours per week)
