Pastoral, Child, and Family Worker job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Inclusion Team in our well-established, popular school and to develop your skills with a talented staff team. We are a two-site school, in the first instance this role will be based at our Kestrel Way Site. You will offer support to children and their families and reduce barriers to learning, which may occur as a result of something which is happening at school or at home.
We are looking for someone who
- Has previous experience of working with children and their families
- Is able to work flexibly and supportively with parents and carers
- Is able to set up and deliver family support programmes
- Can maintain professional boundaries when working with adults and children
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is able to use professional judgement when receiving and dealing with sensitive information

Hours: 8.45-3.30 five days a week, term time only.

We are a two-site school in the market town of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We have over five hundred and sixty main school pupils in addition to those attending our Early Years provision which brings our total number to nearly seven hundred. We have one hundred and thirty staff across both sites.
We have a senior and middle leadership structure, providing opportunities for career development.
Our teachers have shared PPA on a Friday afternoon and come together across both sites for our staff meeting/Inset every Wednesday. We plan as a team across both sites.
