Pastoral Co-Ordinator job summary
Cottenham Village College has an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Co-Ordinator to join their team!
The Pastoral Coordinator role is crucial for the day-to-day life of Cottenham Village College. You will be providing support and guidance for our students within a key stage alongside supporting our Key Stage Progress Leader and relevant Heads of Year, with investigating incidents, collecting statements, exclusion paperwork, liaising with parents, parent meetings and much more to ensure the students are supported and following the college’s behaviour and expectations.
As our Pastoral Co-Ordinator, you will be:
• Managing the day-to-day incidences of behaviour in line with our behaviour policy
• Providing support to students via praise, emotional support and building trusting and supportive relationships
• Monitoring students on specific pastoral reports to ensure improvements
• Attending and arrange parent meetings
• Providing quality administrative support, including exclusion documents and letters to parents
We are looking for individuals who have:
• Good interpersonal and communications skills including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy
• High level of interpersonal skills
• An appreciation of distinctive characteristics of urban and multi-faith communities
