Pastoral Manager job summary

We are looking for a Pastoral Manager on a fixed term basis, to provide a child-centred and personalised learning environment that is responsive to individual needs and circumstances for students in one of our Houses. The successful candidate will ideally be working 37 hours per week, term time plus two weeks, however, we will consider applications from candidates looking for 30 hours per week. Please specify in your supporting statement if this is the case.

You will have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student ensuring that they receive high quality pastoral care throughout their time at CNS in order for them to overcome personal barriers and raise their aspirations.

Our ideal candidate will;

  • have good numeracy. literacy and IT skills
  • have 5 GCSEs (inc. Maths and English) or equivalent NVQ Level 2
  • have experience of working in a support capacity with young people
  • be calm under pressure, supportive, patient and non-judgemental
  • have or be willing to undertake, Designated Safeguarding Lead training
