Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pastoral Manager to join our thriving secondary school. The Role:

As Pastoral Manager, you will:

  • Identify strategies to help overcome individual pupils' barriers to learning
  • Use systems to monitor the behaviour and progress of pupils who are on targeted interventions
  • Ensure each member of staff understands and can consistently apply the school's pastoral procedures and strategies
  • Act as the lead point of contact for parents/carers in relation to pastoral and behavioural issues
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and relevant meetings
  • Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance and our safeguarding and child protection policies

What are we looking for?

If you have experience of working with young people in an educational, social care or youth work setting with the ability to build strong relationships then we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational skills, a thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a proactive and compassionate approach to problem-solving and supporting student wellbeing.
