Pastoral Manager Grade L (North Yorkshire) job summary
Wellspring Academy Trust have an exciting and unique opportunity for Pastoral Manager to join the Trust in North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, particuarly those with special educational needs. This role is essential in helping to create an inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive and reach their full potential. You will work on Secondment at Trent View College until December 2025 and then transfer to North Yorkshire (Knaresborough/Selby) to become the Pastoral Manager for a brand new SEN school, uning your time at Trent View College to gain experience and support.

THE ROLE
You will secure the welfare needs of students through your leadership and management of pastoral support. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will oversee issues related to welfare, behaviour and attendance
You will:
- Lead the implementation of safeguarding, behaviour and attendance policies, training and procedures
- Act as the college’s Designated Senior Leader for Safeguarding and Attendance
- Ensure a timely, robust and appropriate response to welfare issues including behavioural difficulties, disaffection, poor attendance and medical concerns through both direct work and your leadership of pastoral support.
- Establish effective and collaborative relationships with other professionals to secure regular attendance and safeguarding of pupils through a broad range of strategies and interventions
- Be an advanced TeamTeach trainer
THE CANDIDATE
- GCSE English/Maths grade A to C or equivalent.
- National Professional Qualification in relation to the welfare of children and young people.
- Degree or relevant higher education or advanced vocational qualification equivalent or able to demonstrate ability to work at this level
- Leadership qualification
- Commitment to all CPD offered.
SALARY / HOURS
You will be employed under the North Yorkshire Terms and Conditions, The salary for this role will be Grade L point 32-36 (FTE - £41511 - £45718).
