Pastoral Student Support Assistant job summary

Bideford College are looking for a calm, approachable and organised person to become part of our school community as a Pastoral Student Support Assistant providing behaviour and safeguarding support to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, so that they make the best possible progress in all aspects of their development.

The successful candidate will be providing appropriate support, advice and information to all staff involved with the key students. The position will also involve liaising with staff, families and external agencies, as appropriate, regarding students who have been identified as a cause for concern. In addition, you will be carrying out administrative duties that are associated with the pastoral support team e.g. making appointments and reviewing progress.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours

Weeks per year: 38 (term time only)

Grade/Salary: Grade B1, £17,875 per annum (£9.26 per hour), actual salary from £14,785.44 per annum
