Pastoral Support (Grade 4) Part-Time 2 Days per week job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Pastoral Support to join our team. This roll will have a key focus on:

  • Pastoral support for pupils, including behaviour and wellbeing
  • Acting on safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Leading interventions to improve pupils welfare and engagement
  • Working closely with parents, offering support and outreach
  • Working closely with senior leaders to promote a safe, positive and nurturing school environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day pastoral support across the school
  • Attending Safeguarding meetings
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and behaviour
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
  • Help organise family support and parent workshops

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience of working in schools
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection procedures
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualification in safeguarding, child development, or social care (or willingness to undertake training)
