Pastoral Support Mentor with Safeguarding Responsibilities job summary

Pastoral Support Mentor – required September 2024

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Mentor to join us at Stewards Academy. The role will help to remove barriers to learning for some young people.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic and be able to engage with young people who might be struggling to cope in an educational setting. The role will require initiative, energy and patience. A background in youth work, behaviour and dealing with teenagers would be beneficial. The ability to build positive relationships with our young people, staff and families is key to this post.

37 hour per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch)

40 working weeks per year (45.8 paid weeks per year)

Salary: Scale 6 Point 13 – £24,210.58 pro rata per annum – Scale 6 Point 17 - £25,876.91 pro rata per annum (includes fringe allowance)
