What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to join our pastoral team. The Pastoral Support Officer will provide support and supervision of pupils with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties where identified as a need, with a specific focus on a pupil premium cohort. They will work with line managers and the pastoral team to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable pupils and pupils showing challenging behaviour.

The working hours will be up to 37 hours per week between 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Friday during the school term. An additional 44.5 hours per year ensure you have paid time for team meetings, training and development. Your actual salary is £22,431.21 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. What we are looking for?

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), grade Cand a recognised appropriate qualification at diploma level or above
  • Experience of working with children with ESBD (Emotional, Challenging and Behavioural difficulties)
  • Good level of IT Skills inc Microsoft Office
