Pastoral Support Officer job summary
Due to the imminent relocation of the current post holder we are recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer.
We are seeking someone with proven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people, combining tact, diplomacy and discretion, who is able to use a range of effective behaviour management techniques/strategies. The successful candidate will be fully committed to promoting access and inclusion to help our pupils overcome barriers to learning to achieve their full potential.
This post will involve support for vulnerable pupils and their families, running breakfast, break and lunchtime provision as part of a team, 1-1 and group work sessions; liaising with teaching and support colleagues as well as external agencies.
If you are well organised, self-confident, enjoy working with children and as part of a team, have an absolute commitment to inclusive education and hold an NVQ L3 in childcare, health, education, social care or learning support or equivalent, we would welcome your application.
