Pathway Lead job summary

Richmond Hill School is a large school made up of two sites, we call them Small School East and Small School West. We are a child-centred exceptional primary special school for pupils with severe and complex needs from 4 to 11 years of age.  All pupils have an Education, Health & Care plan (EHCP).

We strive to achieve the very best for our children in all that we do,

we aim to ‘Build Communication, Grow Independence and Believe we can achieve our goals’ in all that we do

We are looking to recruit 2 x Pathway Leads - KS1 and KS2 which would include a 0.8fte teaching commitment. Successful candidates would receive a TLR2a of £3,814

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lively, dedicated and supportive team of professionals who deliver the very best learning opportunities to our special needs children.

We are a good provider special school (Ofsted October 2019) for pupils with SLD and complex needs.  We are a rapidly expanding school and opened a new additional site in September 2016; hence this is an exciting phase in our development.  Both sites are very well resourced, with high quality facilities including superb grounds and outside equipment.

Ofsted highlighted many strengths:

'Pupils feel comfortable, happy and safe at school' 'Leaders are ambitious and know what they want pupils to learn' 'Children benefit from a variety of activities and experiences in a well-resourced and nurturing learning environment'.

Experience of working in a special school is not essential but you must be adaptable, motivated and able to deliver exciting fun & personalised lessons.  We have a comprehensive induction programme and actively encourage staff to be innovative, creative and reflective.

We are extremely proud of our school, which has an excellent reputation and we welcome visits or alternatively please contact us if you have any queries.

If you would like a tour of our school, please email HR@richmondhill.luton.sch.uk

Commitment to safeguarding
