What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you a quick learner, with good numeracy skills, attention to detail, organised and can work to strict deadlines?
We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our in-house Payroll Team. Payroll experience is desirable but not essential, previous administration experience would be an advantage. We are looking for a team player with an ability to communicate with both internal staff and external bodies.

Further details about the role
Your day-to-day work usually involves:
- Dealing with any pay queries, taking time to understand the issue and liaising with relevant parties in order to rectify the problem
- Preparing and processing the payroll using Payroll software (Payrite)
- Preparing and processing the auto-enrolment of eligible members into the appropriate pension schemes (LGPS & TPS)
- Entering additional hours information in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Undertaking all relevant calculations for new starters, leavers and amendments
- Working in conjunction with HR to ensure sickness and absence information is entered accurately
