PE/Games Technician/Assistant job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic Physical Education department. This is an exciting opportunity for a sportsperson looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a busy and supportive school environment, particularly for those considering a future career in teaching or sport

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Support the preparation and delivery of PE lessons

Assist in maintaining sports equipment and monitoring stock levels

Undertake administrative tasks, including processing orders and booking transport

Support the delivery of a wide range of extra-curricular sports activities

Contribute to the organisation, supervision and coaching of sports fixtures

Utilise and further develop skills in one or more major sports: hockey, cricket or rugby

Gain practical experience within a thriving and ambitious PE department

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has a strong sporting background, particularly in rugby, hockey or cricket

Is interested in working with young people and supporting their development

Can prioritise tasks effectively within a busy department

Works proactively to ensure the smooth running of lessons, fixtures and events

Demonstrates excellent time management skills

Is energetic, enthusiastic and full of initiative

Is a committed team player who is keen to contribute fully to school life

Is considering teaching as a career, but may not yet be certain of their long-term path
