Job title: Non-class based PE Lead Teacher

Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to promoting and raising the standards of PE. If you are passionate about providing a range of sporting opportunities and motivating children to develop lifelong positive habits, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities for the role are:

  • Lead the school’s PE curriculum
  • Teach PE to the highest standard across all primary age groups
  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in PE ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • Lead the organisation and management of the school’s after school clubs offer (that run from 3-4pm) and deliver three sports clubs a week
  • Organise and manage all school sports competitions and tournaments, including any administration required
  • Support the Headteacher with managing the Sports Premium budget
  • Maintain the school’s recent Platinum Sports Award
  • Prepare and deliver Sports Days in the Summer Term for all pupils
  • Order, maintain and organise all sports equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition
  • Deliver staff training as PE Lead
