PE Second in Department (Head of Girls PE) job summary

The right candidate – 2ic Physical Education

Applications are welcome for the position of an enthusiastic and talented teacher of Physical Education who is ready to take on responsibility and to contribute to the leadership of our successful, forward-looking department. Our priority is to recruit someone who is committed to the development of teaching and learning in our PE Department and who will be able to lead on developing the quality of the PE curriculum, especially for girls, and further increase girl’s uptake in extra-curricular PE.

This is a permanent full-time post from September 2024.

• You will be a talented teacher with a passion for PE

• You will be able to teach PE to A Level

• You will be able to further build participation in extra-curricular girl’s PE

• You will show the ability to inspire students of all ages and abilities and be a role model for them in how to engage in physical activity

• You will have high expectations of yourself and students and be committed to your professional development

• Working with the Head of Department, you will be committed to developing the quality of teaching and learning within the PE Department and to raising achievement
