PE / Sports and Wellbeing Coach job summary

Post: PE / Sports and Wellbeing Coach – To start as soon as possible
We are looking to appoint an individual who will teach PE across the school and deliver a range of sports clubs. PE is an area of strength at Garfield and our school site facilities are excellent. This post is newly created and will also involve focusing on pupil s mental health and wellbeing.
You will:
• Be able to teach the Primary PE Curriculum to a good standard
• Be able to develop provision to support pupils’ mental health
• Have the ability to motivate pupils’ to try different sports and promote a healthy lifestyle
• Be an excellent role model who actively promotes the skills, attributes and behaviours important for PE
• Have proven coaching / teaching ability in working with children
• Have good communication skills, written and verbal

Hours per week 36 x 39 weeks per annum (term time) – Scale 6
Actual Salary Range: £24,066 to £25,846

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. You should contact the school office via email book yourself a place on a tour, which are taking place on Monday 10th January at 4.30pm and Tuesday 18th January at 4pm. Visits are after school due to covid safety.
