What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:

  • Has real enthusiasm for their subject and a commitment to teaching Physical Education.
  • Has experience in delivering Girls Football, Netball, Dance or Gymnastics, or is passionate about developing these areas across the school.
  • Values extra-curricular and is passionate about delivering a high quality extra-curricular program.
  • Has experience in delivering theoretical Physical Education lessons.
  • Teaches engaging and challenging lessons that promote students’ abilities to learn independently and to respond effectively to feedback.
  • Believes that PE has an important role to play in the development of students’ skills, knowledge and understanding.
  • Able to adapt teaching in line with new developments.
  • Is able to contribute to the PE team and take an active part in curriculum planning and preparation.
  • Has second subject knowledge (desirable)
  • Recognises the value of learning beyond the classroom in enhancing the understanding and experience of the world in which we live.
  • Is prepared to accept and endorse the aims and policies of the school.

This post will also involve liaison with our Primary Cluster.
