What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful applicant should have a record of delivering consistently good to outstanding lessons and have the ability to develop active learning strategies to challenge and inspire all of our pupils. Additionally, they should be able to contribute to, organise, develop and deliver schemes of work, which help promote engagement, excellence, and independence. Applications are welcomed from experienced and recently qualified teachers.

What the school offers its staff

Aylestone School is an oversubscribed co-educational 11-16 school, located in the picturesque Cathedral City of Hereford, adjacent to the Herefordshire Colleges' campus for Further Education, and a 10-minute walk from the city railway station. The school is a popular choice with parents in Herefordshire as it is a small school (450 students) but is still able to offer the breadth, choice and opportunities of larger schools. Herefordshire Council have recently approved an investment of £13.1 million for Aylestone School for the building of a new sports hall and teaching block to enable the school to increase its capacity to 750 students. Aylestone School is federated with two primary schools with one Executive Headteacher and a single Governing Body.
