What skills and experience we're looking for
Dove House is seeking to recruit a full time PE teacher to include tutor responsibility.
Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with moderate learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. We are proud to be an outstanding school (Ofsted 2019) but retain our passion to keep moving forward.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an outstanding department and deliver a wide range of sports activities. We deliver an extensive PE curriculum which is comparable to mainstream schools.
The PE department are a highly cohesive team and our vision for students to engage in a wide range of sports and physical activities will inspire them to lead healthy, active lives after they leave Dove House. Through extra-curricular activities, students will develop their social, communication and independence skills, resulting in them being confident, resilient and independent young people who are prepared for adulthood.
We are looking for someone who is:
- A hardworking and dedicated teacher that strives for the best outcomes for all learners
- Skilled in either Primary or Secondary teaching
- Looking for the freedom to plan and deliver lessons in the way they know will benefit the students
- Willing to deliver high quality extra-curricular opportunities
- Looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking and welcoming team.
This role is suitable for unqualified teachers and ECT’s as well as qualified teachers.
