People Administrator (HR) job summary

About the role: ​​​​​​​Milestone Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint a People Administrator (HR) who will join our team based in New Ash Green, Kent. The purpose of this role is to provide effective administration support to the academy, having a primary focus on absence management. It is desirable that you have previous HR experience.

As an academy we feel it is important to hire with the right attitude which is why we will be looking for someone that is enthusiastic, focused, reliable and resilient to the day to day pressures that a busy school brings.

Responsibilities of this role include:

Manage the absence line for staff calling in sick.
Check the availability and arrange, in liaison with the Vice Principal, relief staff to cover absences.
Authorise timesheets and invoices for agency staff (Teaching Assistant’s only).
Collect relief staff timesheets, reviewing them, authorising them and submitting them to Finance on a monthly basis.
Collate leave of absence forms, updating the absence spreadsheet and ensuring that they have been authorised by both the line manager and Assistant Principal. Submitting them to the Principal for authorising and ensuring they are recorded accurately.
Supporting interviews and arranging relevant documentation.
The basis for this role is permanent, Term Time + 1 week inset, 32.5 hours per week with an actual salary of £14,238 per annum (£18,846 full time equivalent). Please be aware that we would require the successful candidate to start at 7.30am.​​​​​​​
