Performing Arts Teacher job summary

Humberston Academy is an oversubscribed ‘outstanding’ academy located in an affluent area of North East Lincolnshire.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Performing Arts department.

You will be joining an ‘outstanding’ and hardworking supportive team that consistently achieves excellent GCSE results that are well above the national average. The department has been built up over the last 5 years to an outstanding standard and as a result of this the subject has a very good uptake at KS4 where we have full GCSE classes in Year 9, 10 and 11, achieving 100% 4-9 last year.

Students in the academy show a real enthusiasm for Performing Arts and are acutely aware of the transferrable skills between the subject and the world of work. There are plenty of enrichment opportunities with a musical production each year, with almost 100 students getting involved.

We are, therefore, looking for a creative and enthusiastic Performing Arts specialist who can deliver our Drama curriculum up to KS4.

1 day per week, temporary position
