Peripatetic Music Teachers job summary
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and talented peripatetic music teachers (Singing and Brass) for September 2020, who are able to engage and motivate students with a wide repertoire of music. These opportunities would suit confident and highly motivated practitioners, with a range of musical talents and tastes, who can stimulate young musicians and build on the success of our thriving music department and contribute to its further development.
You will normally have either several years’ experience in classroom teaching with a suitable higher level qualification and some instrumental specialism, or be an instrumental specialist with a music degree and be able to perform at an equivalent standard on your main instrument.
Hours of work will be dependent on the number of students wishing to study singing or brass. Current teaching hours are 4.5 per week for singing, and 2.5 for brass, however we anticipate higher numbers when receiving the new Year 7 intake in September.
Please visit our website for further information about our school.Only applications submitted on the school's application form will be considered. CVs will not be considered. If you wish to have the opportunity of an informal discussion prior to submitting an application form, please contact Ms Chloe Goodyear (Head of Music) at: cgoodyear@burgate.hants.sch.uk
