What skills and experience we're looking for

The Portsmouth Academy seeks to appoint a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Drums to join our supportive and dynamic staff team.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our students to learn and advance their music skills at all levels across KS3 and 4. You will be passionate about music and demonstrate creativity, resilience and enthusiasm in the way you teach.

  • Educated to degree level in Music or related subject
  • High level of skill and experience in teaching Drums across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Experience of delivering 1-1 musical tuition
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Support the work of the department and the extra-curricular programme
  • Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools
