BRIDGEVIEW SPECIAL SCHOOL
Grade 6 – Personal Development Mentor
32.5 hours per week term time only + 5 training days (195 days)
Actual starting salary will be £21,721.80 - £23,575.71 (£28,624 - £31,067 FTE)
Bridgeview caters for primary aged children with a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural and communication (SEMH) needs. We are looking to recruit an experienced, adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual to work in our Ofsted rated Outstanding school. You will take a lead role to address the social, emotional and mental health needs of the pupils through a delivery of interventions around personal safety, hygiene and friendships.
You will have:
Experience of working with children across the primary age range
Experience of working with vulnerable children and supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
A good understanding of Behaviour Management methods including the role of the facilitator
A secure knowledge of emotional and social issues which may impact on a child’s learning
Emotional resilience when working in a range of challenging situations, including challenging behaviours and attitudes to the use of authority and maintain discipline
