Phase 2/3 teacher with a responsibility for leading Maths across school Beckfoot Nessfield, Keighley

Job description

This role would suit an ambitious Maths teacher who is looking for a new challenge. You will be experienced in delivering outstanding Maths lessons and have the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to support and develop other teachers across the school. In terms of specific areas of responsibility, you will be demonstrating, sharing and leading best practice in teaching and learning (specifically in Maths) to improve pupils' engagement, understanding and progress. You will be taking the lead on staff development for teachers and support staff in this core subject across the whole school. You will have weekly designated leadership time to enable you to have a sustained impact.

Essential educational requirements

• Honours degree or equivalent in relevant subject

• Professional qualification or relevant experience

Essential qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• In line with the Immigration Act 2016; you should be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language at an Advanced Threshold Level.
• Proven record of success as a good or outstanding teacher or student teacher
• An understanding and demonstration of barriers to learning and how those may be overcome
• Experience of managing pupil performance and intervention strategies to raise performance
• Previous teaching within primary education in post or placement
• Experience of safeguarding and additional educational needs
• Experience of working alongside employer partners to achieve learning objectives
• Provide evidence of having previously spoken fluently at an Advanced Threshold Level
