We are looking for an experienced and influential practitioner to join our team as Phase Leader in our Maths Department. The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of teaching and student progress within a successful secondary school. They will be expected to provide outstanding lessons to ensure excellence and achievement for all learners, with a true commitment to raising standards. You will need to have experience of using a variety of approaches to continually enhance teaching and learning of maths throughout the school across the full age and ability range. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong working relationships within the maths team and school as a whole. As Phase Leader, you will be second in department so you will need to have the skills, abilities and drive to assist the Director of Maths in directing the team and making a real difference to the department.
Ofsted (November 2021) commented that ‘Pupils are happy to come to this school…. and the curriculum is ambitious designed to stretch pupils regardless of their starting point.’
The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
