Are you an exceptional, experienced teacher ready to lead and inspire? Bitterne Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated Year 5/6 Phase Leader to drive excellence and innovation within our upper Key Stage 2 team. As our Year 5/6 Phase Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our vision for upper Key Stage 2, driving forward outstanding teaching and learning, and preparing our pupils for the next stage in their education.

The Role:

As Year 5/6 Phase Leader, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team of teachers and support staff, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Drive excellence in teaching and learning across Year 5 and 6, ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
  • Support and mentor colleagues to develop their practice and enhance pupil progress.
  • Play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school as part of the middle leadership team.
  • Model outstanding classroom practice and provide professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, parents, and the wider community to ensure a dynamic and engaging curriculum.

About You:

We are looking for an exceptional teacher and leader who:

  • Has proven experience in upper Key Stage 2 with a strong understanding of the curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy.
  • Is passionate about delivering high-quality education and has a track record of raising standards and pupil outcomes.
  • Is an inspiring leader, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Is committed to upholding the values and ethos of our Church of England school.
  • Has the drive and resilience to take on new challenges and make a meaningful impact.
