What skills and experience we're looking for

The Head Teacher and Governors of St. Luke’s CE Primary School, Salford, would like to invite applications from a passionate and committed teacher with experience in Physical Education to work in our friendly and caring school.

We will appoint a candidate who:

- Is passionate, highly motivated and can work as part of a team.

- Is an excellent teacher and can form strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

- Can nurture and care for the pupils and their families.

- Has high expectations of pupils and can inspire learners.

- Will take responsibility for their pupils’ behaviour and progress.

- Is reflective and has a high regard for their own professional development.

A Primary Specialist PE Teacher who:

- Is organised to manage the school sports calendars & plan matches with other schools.

- Teach Physical Education across the school from Reception to Year 6.

- Lead Physical Education subject; evaluating and improving curriculum and assessment.

- Is committed to attend events that may occur on occasional Saturdays (e.g Cross Country, x4)

- Has a good understanding of the importance of a positive wellbeing for all as a result of physical exercise and movement.

- Can maintain our ‘Platinum School Games Award’ following the highly successful work across PE from our previous specialist teacher.
