Physics Leader job summary
We wish to appoint a physics teacher to lead the subject across the school and who will enjoy focusing solely on the success of their specialist subject.
GCSE science results are consistently in the top 10% of all schools and have been for over a decade. At post-16, separate sciences and applied science courses are extremely popular. Our highly successful Sixth Form is mixed, and many students further their studies at university.
Our outstanding ‘Medic Club’ is available for the highest performing and supports the varied progression routes.
As a physics Subject Leader, you will support the Curriculum Leader and the science team to ensure that the high standards are maintained and that developments continue to sustain this as a flagship subject in an outstanding department. Recent site developments have included five brand new science laboratories bringing the science suite to eleven rooms.
