Physics Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher. The post is full time and permanent commencing January 2022. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach KS3 to KS5.
The Science Department is well organised and resourced and provides a supportive working atmosphere for staff. All lessons are taught in modern laboratories as practicals form a large part of our practice.
All sciences are popular options at A level. Physics results are very high, the most recent externally graded (pre-COVID) results in 2019 being 92.7% of students achieving grades 7-9 at GCSE (with 53.9% achieving grade 9 and 78% Level 8/9), and at A level 82.1% A*-B (with 28.4% achieving an A*, 56.7% A*/A and 92.5% A*-C). The AQA Triple Science course is followed at GCSE and classes are taught by subject specialists from Year 9. The AQA AS/A2 course is followed at KS5.
