What skills and experience we're looking for
PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of children during the midday break period in accordance with practices and procedures of the LA and school leading play activities with children during the school lunch break (indoor and outdoor).
We recognise the importance of a meaningful lunchtime experience as it supports pupils’ social and physical development and therefore the governors of Nether Green Junior School are looking to appoint a Play Supervisor who is enthusiastic, hardworking, effective and able to lead a team of lunch time staff. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, highly motivated, punctual and committed to developing and enhancing the children’s lunchtime experience. We need someone who will be a team player who is fully committed and enjoys working co-operatively with colleagues in a flexible way to respond to the needs of the children in order to contribute to our current successful lunchtime provision. Just as importantly we are looking for someone who will fit in with the schools ethos and contribute to the schools approach to caring for pupils. This is a new role at our school and we will be interested to hear how the successful candidate may plan and organise activities for our children.
