Play Worker job summary

Are you enthusiastic, caring, energetic and hard-working? Then you may have what it takes to join our team of dedicated childcare professionals!

Under the direction of the Play Leader, you will be working to support and facilitate an enabling environment for our children during our morning breakfast and after-school wrap around care. You will engage in partnership working, building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues alike. Your main duties will include following children's interests in play, setting up and engaging in child-led activities, administering first-aid where necessary, communicating with children, parents/carers and other stakeholders. 

Hours: 7:30-9:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 15:30-17:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Please note, this is a term-time only position but there is potential for further experience at our holiday clubs based at our Arlesey nursery.

Qualifications

A positive approach to gaining further training

Some understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace

Safeguarding Children Training 

A current paediatric first aid certificate, food hygiene certificate, and a relevant qualification would be advantageous, or a willingness to work towards achieving them.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance and the Nursery must receive two satisfactory references before the successful candidate can commence employment.
