Play Worker job summary

Wittering Primary School is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment for children to learn, grow and have fun. Our ‘Chill Club’, before and after school care, is a hub of creativity, exploration and laughter, where children can develop essential life skills through play and social interaction

As a Play Worker at Wittering Primary School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young learners. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, who has a passion for working with children, to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for providing a stimulating and inclusive environment, ensuring children aged 5-11 years old engage in meaningful play, learn valuable life skills and build lasting friendships.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere, where children feel valued and respected.

Implement activities that foster creativity, physical activity and social development.

Foster positive relationships with parents, carers and the community.

Support children in their home learning and provide assistance where needed.

Ensure cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment.

Collaborate with fellow Play Workers.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records.
