Playground Coach/Teaching Assistant job summary
Term time only – 38 weeks – 35 hours per week – 8.00am to 3.40pm

We are looking for adults with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate young people. Candidates must have the enthusiasm and flexibility to work with students aged 11-16 years with a range of individual needs including those with challenging behaviour. An excellent standard of English (both written and oral) is essential as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
We would welcome applications from graduates, particularly those with a sport’s degree, taking a ’gap’ year or those considering teaching as a career.
- To lead and supervise playground activities with young people during breaks and lunchtimes
- To work under the guidance of teachers and pastoral staff in helping students to overcome barriers to learning; supporting students both in class and one to one
This post would suit those who have an interest or experience in supporting and guiding young people in their learning and behaviour as well as enthusiasm for sports and recreational activities
