Playworker (Breakfast & After School Club) job summary

Are you enthusiastic, caring, and full of energy? We’re looking for dedicated Playworkers to join our friendly primary school team, supporting our Breakfast and After School Clubs. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where our children can thrive before and after the school day. With a flexible mix of shifts available, this role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and wants to be part of a supportive school community.

Part-time, Permanent and Casual roles available, Term Time only

Hours
Breakfast Club: 7.30 – 8.45am
and / or
Afterschool Club: 15.15 – 18.00pm

Hourly rate: £13.98 (incl holiday pay)

Under 18's hourly rate: £10.26 (incl holiday pay)

Whether you are a student interested in work outside of college/university hours, you currently work in childcare but are looking for additional hours or a fresh challenge, or you are looking to launch your career in childcare, we would love to hear from you.

The role involves:

The provision of a happy and safe environment for all staff and pupils. Fully supported by our Club Supervisor and a dedicated school support team, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the breakfast club and/or after school club, ensuring all activities are delivered to the club’s high standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

The successful applicant should have:

excellent communication skills with young children

the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team

the ability to organise and teach children to play games
